Designing a UX/UI Dashboard for a Brand Asset Resource System

UX/UI Product Design for Digital Asset Management

Brown-Forman, a leading global spirits and wine company, needed an efficient way to manage and distribute brand assets across its vast network of 40+ international advertising agencies. To streamline this process, the company implemented a Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, known internally as the Brand Asset Resource (BAR) Dashboard.

As a UX/UI Product Designer, I was responsible for designing an intuitive, user-friendly dashboard that would allow agencies to search, license, and distribute brand assets efficiently, eliminating costly manual workflows.

Key UX Contributions

Before implementing the BAR Dashboard, Brown-Forman faced high costs and inefficiencies in managing brand assets:

  • Agencies charged $700 per image to burn high-resolution assets to CDs for distribution.

  • With 4,000+ ads (each in up to five file formats), this process led to significant delays and escalating costs.

  • The company needed a centralized digital repository that could store, manage, and facilitate seamless access to brand assets.

UX Approach & Solution

I designed an intuitive UX/UI dashboard that enabled global marketing teams and agencies to efficiently search, license, and distribute brand assets.

User-Centric Dashboard Design

  • Created a clean, intuitive interface that made it easy to navigate thousands of brand assets by category, brand, and media format.

  • Designed a streamlined search and filtering system to help agencies quickly locate relevant assets without manual requests.

Optimized Asset Management Workflow

  • Developed user flows and wireframes to ensure a seamless experience for uploading, retrieving, and distributing digital assets.

  • Designed a licensing and usage tracking feature to help monitor how assets were being used across agencies.

Impact & Results

  • Improved Operational Efficiency – Eliminated the manual CD-burning process, replacing it with a web-based asset distribution system.

  • Significant Cost Savings – Reduced the need for external agencies to handle asset distribution, cutting thousands of dollars in unnecessary expenses.

  • High Adoption & Engagement – Within the first year, the system processed 36,000 high-resolution asset downloads, demonstrating its effectiveness.

By designing a user-friendly UX/UI dashboard, I helped transform a brand asset management system into a scalable, cost-effective digital solution. The new platform significantly improved efficiency, reduced costs, and enhanced accessibility for global marketing teams and agencies.
