Illustration Friday: 80's
Here are a couple of illustrations from a marker comp storyboard that I did in the 80's for the Gap store. The story starts out with an older saleslady holding up a pair of polyester pants in the store across from the Gap in the mall. She asks "How do you like this outfit?". The announcer VO for the Gap says "Style is more than the clothes you wear. And what you wear will never be a question for debate. Except for now." Cut to the people wearing the polka poly pants. These polka pants remind me of the jeans that had huge flowers all over them with zippers on the side and a pegged cuff tight against the ankle.
