Illustration Friday: Ghost

The Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, GA is the first thing I think of when I hear the word "ghost". I have visited this historic cemetery several times during the daylight hours. But, I always wonder what it would be like to visit at midnight instead when the ghosts come out. At this cemetery, live oak festoon with Spanish moss draped carelessly from a limb. Dirt roads that lead deep into the shadowy graveyard that is the final resting place for both the famous and not so famous. The name Bonaventure comes from the Italian "Buona Ventura" for good fortune. I decided that the character depicted in the illustration wouldn't have that good fortune.
